You'll Get Through This

Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times

You’ll get through this.
It won’t be painless.
It won’t be quick.
But God will use this mess for good.
Don’t be foolish or naïve.
But don’t despair either.
With God’s help, you’ll get through this.

You fear you won't make it through. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. In the pits, surrounded by steep walls and aching reminders, we wonder: Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten?
In You'll Get Through This, pastor and New York Times best-selling author, Max Lucado offers sweet assurance. "Deliverance is to the Bible what jazz music is to Mardi Gras: bold, brassy, and everywhere."
Max reminds readers God doesn't promise that getting through trials will be quick or painless. It wasn't for Joseph--tossed in a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, forgotten and dismissed--but his Old Testament story is in the Bible for this reason: to teach us to trust God to trump evil.

With the compassion of a pastor, the heart of a storyteller, and the joy of one who has seen what God can do, Max explores the story of Joseph and the truth of Genesis 50:20.

"What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good."

Therefore, make this Christmas special by reading Max Lucado " You'll Get Through This"

Beyond Talent: Become Someone Who Gets Extraordinary Results

New York Times best-selling author John C. Maxwell shows that talent is just the starting point for a successful impact in any organization.

It's what takes you beyond your talent that matters.

People everywhere are proving him right. Read the headlines, watch the highlights, or just step out your front door

Some talented people reach their full potential, while others self-destruct or remain trapped in mediocrity. What makes the difference? Maxwell, the go-to guru for business professionals across the globe, insists that the choices people make―not merely the skills they inherit―propel them to greatness. Among other truths, successful people know that:
  • Belief lifts your talent.
  • Initiative activates your talent.
  • Focus directs your talent.
  • Preparation positions your talent.
  • Practice sharpens your talent.
  • Perseverance sustains your talent.
  • Character protects your talent. . . . and more!
It's what you add to your talent that makes the greatest difference. With authentic examples and time-tested wisdom, Maxwell shares thirteen attributes you need to maximize your potential and live the life of your dreams.
You can have talent alone and fall short of your potential. Or you can go beyond talent and really stand out.

John C. Maxwell is an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker, coach, and author who has sold over 19 million books.

Dr. Maxwell is the founder of EQUIP and the John Maxwell Company, organizations that have trained more than 5 million leaders worldwide.

E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments

Don’t face reality. Create reality!
E-Squared could best be described as a lab manual with simple experiments to prove once and for all that reality is malleable, that consciousness trumps matter, and that you shape your life with your mind. Rather than take it on faith, you are invited to conduct nine 48-hour experiments to prove there really is a positive, loving, totally hip force in the universe. Yes, you read that right. It says prove.

The experiments, each of which can be conducted with absolutely no money and very little time expenditure, demonstrate that spiritual principles are as dependable as gravity, as consistent as Newton’s laws of motion. For years, you’ve been hoping and praying that spiritual principles are true. Now, you can know.
      E-Squared proves the following:
1.       There is an invisible energy force or field of infinite possibilities.
2.       You impact the field and draw from it according to your beliefs and expectations.
3.       You, too, are a field of energy.
4.       Whatever you focus on expands.
5.       Your connection to the field provides accurate and unlimited guidance.
6.       Your thoughts and consciousness impact matter.
7.       Your thoughts and consciousness provide the scaffolding for your physical body.
8.       You are connected to everything and everyone else in the universe.
9.       The universe is limitless, abundant, and strangely accommodating.

Louise L. Hay , bestselling author "Heal Your Body", speaker and inspirational teacher whose healing techniques, affirmations and positive thinking have inspired millions worldwide said it in her Facebook page

"When I first heard that by changing your thinking you could change your life, my life changed forever. This is the revelation I used to overcome cancer and to create the life I really wanted which was a total turn around from the life I had during the first 50 years of my life.

Hay House has recently published a book called
E Squared which is a fun and easy book to read, which has 9 experiments that really help you to experience for yourself this simple concept that your thoughts create your life.

E Squared has now been on the NY Times bestseller list on for 12 straight weeks thanks for all of your support.

"E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality" is a great book by Pam Grout.

Reviews
"As a child we all wanted to believe in real life treasure maps, 'x' marks the spot, the cupboard to Narnia, a rainbow's pot of gold, Aladdin's cave; of course they never existed and we all have to grow up.
But in this book, Richard Newton and Ciprian Rusen have managed to produce the nearest thing to a real and tangible grown up treasure map. It literally offers a map to fulfilling dreams laying dormant in life's often brutal and busy reality. ...Reignite your dreams & read on, because here lies a tangible map to achieving personal goals."
Joe Foster, Co-founder & CEO EaselTV

"Dreaming it, is one thing. Doing it, is the hard work. If you have ever had an idea but done nothing about it, then this book is for you. If you have ever dreamt about making a true difference, but never did anything about it, then this book is for you.
In Dream It, Do It, Live It, co-authors Richard Newton and Ciprian Adrian Rusen have taken the principles of project management and turned them into a system to help everyone accomplish their deepest and most passionate goals."
Mitch Joel, President of Twist Image and author of Six Pixels of Separation and CTRL ALT Delete

"If you are looking for practical, no nonsense advice on how to bring an idea or new project to life this book is a great place to start. The authors have a refreshing jargon-free style mixed with plenty of real world examples to help you go from dreaming to doing.

Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It

Do you "Love Yourself"?

It is not an easy question to answer or write upon but Kamal Ravikant did it in simple and understandable way.

In December of 2011, Kamal gave a talk to an audience of scientists, Pentagon officials, politicians, and CEOs on the secret of life and how he figured it out the previous summer. Afterwards, people came up individually and told how much of what he shared meant to them.

This book is based on the truth Kamal spoke about. It's something he learned from within himself, something he believed saved him. And more than that, the way he set about to do it.

This is a collection of thoughts on what he learned, what worked, what didn't. Where he succeed and importantly, where he fail daily.

"The truth is to love yourself with the same intensity you would use to pull yourself up if you were hanging off a cliff with your fingers. As if your life depended upon it. Once you get going, it's not hard to do. Just takes commitment and you find it in this book."

Kamal did it. It's been transformative for him. It will also be transformative for you as well.

Kamal says,
I've been fortunate enough to have some amazing experiences in my life so far.
I've trekked to one of the highest base camps in the Himalayas, meditated with Tibetan monks in the Dalai Lama's monastery, earned my US Army Infantry patch, walked 550 miles across Spain, lived in Paris, been the only non-black, non-woman member of the Black Women's writers' group, written a novel, held the hands of dying patients, and worked with some of the best people in Silicon Valley.
But the most transformative experience has been the simple act of loving myself.

Wow! What a great book. The author wrote with such simplicity but with great depth. I've never reviewed a book before on Amazon, although I've read 100's. But this one really sparked something in me. Thanks Kamal.
Diane E. Kueffner

The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.” ~ Brené Brown

In The Gifts of Imperfection, Brené Brown, a leading expert on shame, authenticity, and belonging, shares ten guideposts on the power of Wholehearted living—a way of engaging with the world from a place of worthiness.

Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate.

So most of us perform, please, and perfect, all the while thinking,

"What if I can't keep all of these balls in the air?
Why isn't everyone else working harder and living up to my expectations?
What will people think if I fail or give up?
When can I stop proving myself?"
In her ten guideposts, Brown engages our minds, hearts, and spirits as she explores how we can cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think,
"No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough," and to go to bed at night thinking, "Yes, I am sometimes afraid, but I am also brave. And, yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable, but that doesn't change the truth that I am worthy of love and belonging."

"This important book is about the lifelong journey from 'What will people think?' to 'I am enough.' Brown's unique ability to blend original research with honest storytelling makes reading The Gifts of Imperfection like having a long, uplifting conversation with a very wise friend who offers compassion, wisdom, and great advice."
Harriet Lerner, New York Times best-selling author of The Dance of Anger and The Dance of Connection
"Brené Brown courageously tackles the dark emotions that get in the way of leading a fuller life; read this book and let some of that courage rub off on you."
Daniel H. Pink, New York Times best-selling author of A Whole New Mind
"Courage, compassion, and connection: Through Brené's research, observations, and guidance, these three little words can open the door to amazing change in your life.'"
Ali Edwards, author of Life Artist

"Brene Brown is awesome! This is one of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors. You can check more about her video sharing in Ted Talks."

Do the Work By Steven Pressfield

Could you be getting in your way of producing great work?

Have you started a project but never finished?

Would you like to do work that matters, but don't know where to start?

The answer is Do the Work, a manifesto by bestselling author Steven Pressfield, that will show you that it’s not about better ideas, it’s about actually doing the work.

Do the Work is a weapon against Resistance – a tool that will help you take action and successfully ship projects out the door.

“There is an enemy. There is an intelligent, active, malign force working against us. Step one is to recognize this. This recognition alone is enormously powerful. It saved my life, and it will save yours.”

Do The Work isn't so much a follow-up to The War of Art as it is an action guide that gets down and dirty in the trenches.

Say you've got a book, a screenplay or a startup in your head but you're stuck or scared or just don't know how to begin, how to break through or how to finish.

Do The Work takes you step-by-step from the project's inception to its ship date, hitting each predictable 'Resistance point' along the way and giving techniques and drills for overcoming each obstacle.

There's even a section called 'Belly of the Beast' that goes into detail about dealing with the inevitable moment in any artistic or entrepreneurial venture when you hit the wall and just want to cry 'HELP!'

Baker from Man Vs Debt interviews Steven Pressfield new book, "Do The Work"

Reviews

After reading his book, The War of Art last year, I didn't hesitate to buy this one and could not stop until I finished it. As a lover of reading, I'm so glad that Mr. Pressfield does the work required to be a great writer--every day.

Steven Pressfield hits right where it hurts. Honest, valuable advice for those with artistic/entrepreneurial spirits. Get a kick and start working.

This book is just what I needed... I am fairly smart but have not succeeded to the level I should be capable of. The reason: negative self-talk that stymies my every move. This book puts a face on it, gives great insight into what's going on and solid advice for getting past it. Combined with some out-loud in-my-face affirmations I have started to get some things done I have resisted for years.

It is an easy read and makes a good 'bible' for dealing with those times when you find yourself stuck.

Unconventional presentation of the most conventional advice you'll ever get. This is a book for all time. Read it and you'll see.

Mindset: The New Psychology of Success

Does things happen different of what you thought of ?

Do you sometimes frustrated with the result you achieve?

Are you stress-up with whatever is happening?

World-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck, in decades of research on achievement and success, has discovered a truly groundbreaking idea–the power of our mindset.

Dweck explains why it’s not just our abilities and talent that bring us success–but whether we approach them with a fixed or growth mindset.

She makes clear why praising intelligence and ability doesn’t foster self-esteem and lead to accomplishment, but may actually jeopardize success. With the right mindset, we can motivate our kids and help them to raise their grades, as well as reach our own goals–personal and professional.

Dweck reveals what all great parents, teachers, CEOs, and athletes already know: how a simple idea about the brain can create a love of learning and a resilience that is the basis of great accomplishment in every area.
